Landshypotek is fundamentally a credit union, where board members are democratically elected. The day-to-day operations and main business activity are run by Landshypotek AB.

Those who borrow from Landshypotek AB are automatically members in the Landshypotek Ekonomisk Förening credit union. Some one hundred individuals in the credit union are elected representatives. They are organized in ten different regions.
